Special Needs

As a fully accessible school, we welcome all pupils regardless of their ability or needs. A dedicated and specialist team of teachers and support staff are available to enable all pupils access every aspect of School life. Close liaison with feeder schools ensures important information is received, thus enabling any specialist provision or equipment to be available whenever possible before the pupil arrives.

Regular contact with off-site support agencies helps ensure the 'whole child' is considered if any difficulties arise.

Parents are encouraged to contact the SEN co-ordinator to discuss any individual needs of their son/daughter. All meetings and information given will be held in the strictest confidence. The Pupil Support Base is a specialist on-site provision, offering short or long-term support for vulnerable pupils. Pupils who would benefit from this provision would be assessed on an individual basis and in consultation with you.
