Fairtrade Enterprise Launch

During FairTrade Fortnight Year 9 Students of Bebington High Sports College took part in a teambuilding day and also launched an ‘Inter-Form’ enterprise challenge.

Activities were based on FairTrade values as well as encouraging team work, creativity, innovation, business understanding and presentation skills. The students worked in groups against each other with competitive rounds on Fair Trade knowledge, creating and presenting a FairTrade chocolate bar, designing an outfit and other teambuilding exercises.

Students are expected to produce a promotional stand in the hall on the last Friday of term, which we have named FairTrade Friday. On this day the stands will feature the students Form poster and slogan, plus they will need to be as innovative and creative as they can in promoting Fair Trade. By delivering a pitch to other students and teachers they will give information on the different elements of the campaign.

As a Trust school the topic of Fair Trade fits well with co-operative values and is actively supported by our trust partners.
